The fact is that we had top 4/5 against Rv on N64BC. Last lap, on the spiral bit, they use the shock and 3 people dodge it (not including the guy that used the shock). They end up getting 4 of the top 5 (I got 2nd still). The shock killed us there, so Joker said he would try and get the lightning. After that, the war was a breeze for us. We mostly had top positions all race, and didn't need to use the shock at all.

Everytime we lose a clan war, it's usually down to the other clans shock use.
